Frugal Foods: Honey-Glazed Chicken Stir-Fry

Frugal, tasty food is sooo important. If you can cook food the whole family loves for a dollar or two per person, then you will significantly cut down on fast food expenses! I used to cook “frugally” with my wide array of Hamburger Helpers. We still ate out a lot. Gee, […]

Frugal Food Experiment

I usually go grocery shopping on Mondays. But last Monday was Labor Day. We were in Ohio visiting relatives. When we came home, we set up Olivia’s Big Girl Bed. No shopping.
On Tuesday, I had MOPS from 9:15-11:30, and that’s really the only time of day I can go shopping.
Wednesday was […]

MOPS costs $40 per semester with a $20 registration fee.
Women’s bible study has a $5 per child per week childcare fee.
Adult bible study has a $10 […]

In my efforts to save money, I came across this recipe that replaces the endless cans of condensed cream soup on your cupboard.
Yes, I know whole food are cheaper. And healthier. And I do try to make them often. Promise.
But there are some recipes you just can’t escape. The Classics. […]

I Robbed Walgreens Today

So I mentioned how much fun I’ve been having while couponing lately. Well, it was another late night yesterday. Er… I should say, “early morning.” Maybe, if Olivia didn’t go to bed at 10:30, and Josh didn’t insist on watching M*A*S*H until 11:30, and then the dishes didn’t have to be done… maybe […]
