Hello, Blogging World!

Nothing like being gone three months and going through a life-changing experience to hinder the blogging bug!

I’ve been thinking lately that if all you have to go on is the blog, you might get the impression that I am laying glassy-eyed on the couch, contemplating life without my mom.  But I promise, that is not how I spend my the majority of my time.

Since returning home, we’ve gotten back into a wonderful routine where we accomplish things even beyond the to-do list.  I mean, just yesterday, I cleaned out the garbage can. I know!

And that’s in addition to the dishes, laundry, toy-picking-up, homeschooling, meal preparation, and dance and gymnastics classes that our older two attend weekly.

But I don’t want to boast.

The one thing I haven’t figured out how to fit into the daily routine is the blog.  I don’t know what to blog about.  When I’m used to blogging regularly, coming up with post ideas is as natural as thinking. But I’m a bit dusty.  I also need some uninterrupted time at the computer.  Something about changing a poopy diaper in the middle of a post just kills the writing mood.

And then there’s the fact that every time my 19 month old sees me sit down at the computer, he starts calling out, “Nighttime!  Daytime!  Allen!  Allen!  Allen!” and starts beatboxing.  It’s his way of requesting this video.  And you try refusing a beatboxing baby.  The cuteness is overwhelming.

So this is me.  Trying to come back.  Hi!
