I like to look at the grandmothers, great-grandmothers, grandfathers, and great-grandfathers that I see in malls and restaurant waiting areas. I like to look at their faces and try to find their younger self hidden in there. I love to look at pictures from their youth and finally understand that dimension of their beauty.
As a female, I [...]

As my warranty on my laptop was almost up, I decided last Monday was as good a time as any to send my malfunctioning HP Pavilion in, hoping it would come back with working speakers.
I figured I’d be without my computer during the day, but would be able to check the Facebook stats and write [...]

Meh, I don’t know what day of the week it is, half the time. Can ya tell?
PICTURES!
(Not all 25 that I edited and uploaded. That would overwhelm you.)
(Much like my children at 10:30pm after lemonade AND fruit snacks.)
(Won’t be doing THAT again…)
That’s enough for now. Let’s keep it short and kitty-themed, shall we?
If you want [...]

Josh and I were talking about adolescence last night. It was brought on when we heard one of those “Teaching Moments” on KLOVE (Christian radio). They were talking about how to handle your teenage children. How to relate to them. How to talk with them.
And we started discussing what made adolescence so difficult. Because, really, [...]

(That’s Wives Of Perpetual Students).
And the Offspring Of Perpetual Students, as well.
The OOPS, if you will.
(Hey, it was either that or COPS.)
I’ve had this song in my head all day.
Could have something to do with the fact that it’s Midterms.
Sung to the tune of Last Kiss.
Where oh where can The Daddy be?
The School took him [...]

I have nothing against fall, itself, really. The weather turns crisp and cool, but in a refreshing way.
Like a sip of ice water after a long, hot day.
And the leaves are beautiful. And we have so many of them here. The colors really are a palette that only an artistic God could create. With reds [...]

Women’s Bible study started yesterday.
I made it there *almost* on time.
Half-way through, my baby was brought to me from the nursery.
So it was with full hands I went to pick up the other two at the end of the study.
I watched other smiling mommies looking through the window at their little ones. Little hands reaching, [...]

But not before they drug… dragged? it out for en-ti-re-ly too long.
Josh got at least two emails explaining that there was some sort of difficulty with the grading, resulting in all kinds of delays.
Suspenseful, right?
I would never do that.
Never advertise that we had QE results and then drag you all along without giving any real [...]

So, I think I’ve mentioned before that bumGenius is my favorite cloth diapering brand.
EXCEPT FOR THE BLASTED VELCRO. (Sorry, “hook and loop”)
It just doesn’t last. But bumGenius is the brand the fits our babies best and leaks the least.
(When the velcro stays fastened.)
I have one of their organic all-in-one snap diapers. I like it! But [...]

Sorry, I got a bit behind again, didn’t I?
Guess I was too busy playing.
In the backyard.
On the swings.
With my husband.
And my beautiful baby.
And my darling children.
What have you been up to?
