Meet-and-Greet Monday: What We Did On Our Vacation - At The Park

We absolutely LOVE it when we find some old-school style playground toys. The kind that still have that element of danger. Where you could SO end up in the hospital if you don’t play right.
This was one of those things.
We are, to this day, unsure of the purpose of this contraption. Was […]

I Don’t Blame Twitter For Shallow Relationships.

Today we were riding bikes along a trail through some beautifully wooded and prairie grassed areas. Just at sunset. I was in awe of the beauty.
And I saw a girl walking her dog on a dirt trail in the woods. On her cell phone.
My first thought, I kid you not, was, “Now […]

What I Did On My Vacation: On The Boat

Being a mere 40 (or so) minutes from the Lake of the Ozarks, we had to at least spend one day on the water.

So we rented a boat. Now the guy said you had to be eighteen, or have a valid boating license, to drive. This is how well we listen.

When we tried […]

Two Answers To Prayer

I came back from vacation and called the mother of The Boy I Watch to tell her I could start watching him “if she wants”. I was hoping TBIW was just so happy with his new sitter and I didn’t want his mother wouldn’t feel she’d be breaking my heart by continuing to use […]

Night-Weaning: Attempt #2; Night #2

We’ve been through the night-weaning a lot lately. It was working well the first time; he was sleeping until 3 a.m.! But then he got sick. And couldn’t breathe. And wasn’t eating well. And I just couldn’t refuse.
He’s better now. Teething, but that’s not going to stop anytime soon. […]

Goals For Today. And They Are LOFTY.

Load dishwasher. And all the while, BE GRATEFUL for the last few remaining weeks that I have with said dishwasher.
To finish this post (I’ve been called away three times so far…)
Unpack suitcases (AND PUT AWAY CLOTHES. DO NOT PILE ON BED.)
Find chargers for phone and camera. And then charge phone and camera.
Hang […]

What I Did On My Vacation: On The Train

We opened Train Toys. Anticipating the Bored Child Syndrome, I took proactive measures and bought some Dollar Store books and stickers in advance. To make them more fun, we wrapped them (inside out, of course), and then I let the kids decorate the presents. They were an absolute hit on the train. […]

I’m Back. I’m Tan. I’m Fat. I’m Lazy.

And that about sums up our trip.
Just kidding.
I uploaded pictures that I shall post for you tomorrow.  Maybe in part.  Maybe in full.  Depends on how generous I feel at the time.
Right now, though, I’m feeling pretty lazy.  Vacation is a drug that’s hard to quit cold-turkey.
So it’s off-to-bed for me!

Happy Father’s Day! Wanna See What I Got Josh?

In case you can’t read it, that says “My Daddy won’t let me fall.” Wish I could make these bigger for you guys… but I ran into some technical difficulties.

And that’s the back.

“My Daddy holds my hand.”

And that’s the back, again.
Oh, and would you please just try your hardest to ignore those toes? […]

So We’re Moving

Hey, look! I’m on top of things enough to auto-post. (Please ignore the dirty dishes on the counter. And the clean clothes on the couch.)
——————-
I was hesitant to even announce this at first. It happened right after the house fell through. And before we were released from the purchase agreement. […]
