What a lovely chalk family! The pink hair may just become the newest trend of the Natural Mommy readers! Sure looks like you all had fun. :-)

and how fun to think about buying! yay! We just moved out of our old farmhouse (and I lived in one most my childhood), so the only advice I have (not like you asked for it or anything - but I was surprised) is to call the utility companies that service the house and ask them what the monthly bills were and what the energy usage was. Sometimes it can be surprising. Ours wasn't to bad until I stopped working and had a baby! 58 degrees at night wasn't gonna cut it! (yet we also did not have any heat to the upstairs so we had to run an electric radiant heater 14/7 to keep the peanut warm. It killed us for bills.ugh. Luckily most houses aren't that bad - and you seem to live in somewhere warmer than crappy ol MI.

Good Luck

Perfect sized sits make Ellie happy too. I'm going to get some chalk - I can see that's a great idea. And purple hair? Well, it's something to think about...

Sidewalk chalk saved my life and sanity at one point. Through a particularly rainy, cold winter stretch my son was driving me to distraction when he found the chalk in his art supplies box. It dawned on me I was missing a great indoor activity. Our one car garage was nicely paved and unused due to it being more like a three-fourths car garage. Perfect! The door was just off the kitchen, he could draw as I cooked dinner. There are lovely multi-colored squiggles on the floor still but with the weather so nice, he's abandoned chalk for his bike.
