A bit late today, I know. It was a Monday to beat all Mondays. To beat them with sticks. Sticks to the shins. That kind of Monday.

We had a fun week last week. It was beautiful weather and there was much chalk. Much, much chalk. Olivia and I drew a river with fish and stepping stones. And she jumped from stone to stone! Big Toddler Gross Motor Achievement!

Benjamin was less about the gross motor achievements and more about the sitting. He’s at the age where he is THRILLED TO PIECES when he finds a seat his size.

Oh, and see that head at his feet? Olivia helped me draw that. That there is a life-size portrait of Benjamin’s head. It’s really that big. And round. Promise.

And here’s the whole Chalk Family. (I’m the one with the pink and purple hair.)

(Benjamin sat in his Face Portrait.)

Since receiving confirmation that we will, indeed, [most likely] be enjoying our normal income, we’ve begun to think about housing for next year. Look! A farm house! On an acre of land! With a clothesline! And a garden! (No central AC, though, can you see that window unit?)

(And no, it’s not a rental.)

And, by the way, Olivia got her first tatoo this past week.

To participate in Meet-and-Greet Monday: Post pictures of someone you’d like to us to “meet” on your blog. It doesn’t have to be someone new each week (obviously – I post of the same two people each week). The idea is that someone new from the blogosphere will happen upon this site each Monday and we can “introduce” ourselves to them. Because this is a friendly place. Also, this is a great excuse to post pictures for the Grandmas.

Just make sure you are linking to your Meet-and-Greet post – NOT your homepage. :-) It just makes life easier that way. Then put a link in your post back to here so that your readers can “meet” someone new today, too! And as always, thanks for keeping it family friendly.
