We don't use any gimmicks with our daughter though. We started her at 6 months old (obviously not forcing her to go, and we still don't force her at 16 months) and it's just a natural thing we do and we give her lots of praise when she goes. I'd rather avoid toys on the potty haha but I know some kids are stubborn and need more encouragement. Good luck!!
