IT’S STILL MONDAY.

So I’d like you to meet The Daddy. He’s absolutely the Perfect Guy for me. For example:

When I make a German Chocolate cake that has the potential to look like this:

And yet somehow turns out like this:

He insists that it is The Best Thing He’s Ever Tasted.

Food is his love language. Which is a good thing. Because cooking is my spiritual gift.

More reasons I couldn’t stop loving him:

  • He does the dishes when I’m stuck on the couch nursing a needy baby.
  • He installed a washing machine in an apartment without a washing machine hook-up so that I wouldn’t have to use the teeny, tiny, expensive, dirty community one downstairs.
  • He is an amazing daddy. He loves our children. He plays with them, not out of obligation, but out of a fierce desire to know and love them and have them know and love him.
  • He is one dedicated man. He is in his 21st year of school (if you count kindergarten). And he will keep on keepin’ on until he reaches his goal.
  • He is just so handy to have around!
    • He helped hang our new drying racks (which was quite complicated, actually – he had to take out the electrical box so he could find the stud (he insisted the drying rack would be too heavy to simply hang on drywall)).
    • He built our toy bin.
    • Half the shelves we have on our walls were built by him before I even met him (he says he didn’t have time for carpentry after I came into his life).

Put simply, he’s my favorite. I’ll keep him.

(Well, it was Monday when I started this post, anyway…)

————————-

To participate in Meet-and-Greet Monday: Post pictures of someone you’d like to us to “meet” on your blog. It doesn’t have to be someone new each week (obviously – I post of the same two people each week). The idea is that someone new from the blogosphere will happen upon this site each Monday and we can “introduce” ourselves to them. Because this is a friendly place. Also, this is a great excuse to post pictures for the Grandmas.

Just make sure you are linking to your Meet-and-Greet post – NOT your homepage. :-) It just makes life easier that way. And then put a link in your post back to here so that your readers can “meet” someone new today, too!
